At Hancock Hall, we believe the quality of the dining experience directly affects the quality of life of our residents. Led by Johnson & Wales trained chef, Jappy Blang, our dietary team strives to prepare nutritious, flavorful, and visual appealing meals that can accommodate any therapeutic diet requirement and the personal preferences of our residents. Daily menus offer multiple options to choose from at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Additionally, we offer an “Always Available” menu of classic, comfort meals such as chef’s salad
, pasta with basil-tomato sauce
, or a ham and cheese omelet
. Small kitchenettes can be found on each nursing unit with a daily selection of coffee & tea, cookies, ice cream, yogurt, and fruit.
Residents at Hancock Hall can choose to eat meals in our dining rooms, small lounges, or in their rooms. At mealtime, the warmly-lit dining rooms are set with table linens, decorative centerpieces, and ambient music. Every effort is made by staff to create a dining experience that is comfortable, friendly, and social. Certainly, if any resident needs assistance eating, nursing staff is trained and available to help.
